Volunteering Experience part 2 – Harun Omerbegović
Harun Omerbegović comes from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is a freshman at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo.
Below, you can read about his experience at FSAA 2023.
“Last year, I had the fantastic opportunity to volunteer at the FS Alpe-Adria event. My role was all-encompassing, from setting up the site to dismantling it after the event. I had all kinds of responsibilities, from assembling the rain-test to being a track marshal. The experience was nothing short of exhilarating. The adrenaline rush of the races, the camaraderie among the FSAA team, and the satisfaction of ensuring a smooth event made it an unforgettable experience. Despite the hard work and hellish temperatures, I had an absolute blast and I look forward to doing it all over again at this year’s event.
Volunteering at the FS Alpe-Adria event sparked Harun’s desire to start his own Formula Student team. Inspired by the camaraderie and innovation he witnessed, he embarked on the journey of creating his team. Today, Harun and his fellow students are designing their first car, seeking sponsorships, and spreading the word about their team. Despite the challenges, they are driven by their passion for motorsports and the thrill of the race. Their volunteering experience has transformed them from spectators to active participants in the world of Formula Student.”
