Volunteering Experience part 1 – Maja Migles

8 March 2024

Maja Migles Maja is our veteran volunteer and she decided to share her experience from FSAA 2022 and 2023. So let’s hear it!

“The first time that I heard about FSAA was in 2021 because it was held in my hometown (Novi Marof), so it was kind of hard to miss it. Suddenly the city was full of people from different countries. You could hear the sound of formula cars from the track and it definitely got me interested.

That year I came to FSAA just as a spectator and the following year I decided to sign up as a volunteer. Spending days on the track, among people that live and breathe FS. Students on one side, working on their cars and giving their everything and FSAA organization team on the other side, a group of amazing people working tirelessly together like one big family.

The following year, it wasn’t a hard decision to sign up and come again.

Coming to FSAA second year in a row as a volunteer, I kind of knew what to expect. Working hard, being in the sun, not sleeping enough, but still enjoying the great atmosphere, meeting new people, seeing again some of the people I met the previous year. That one week of the year is something completely different than the rest of the year. Memories of that week are something you reminisce about until the next FSAA.

I met some of the coolest people, had the most engrossing and fascinating conversations, and saw the most devoted students chasing their dreams working on their cars.

I highly recommend this event to anyone interested in the field, Formula Student world, or simply interested in spicing up their summer.

FSAA, see you again this year!”
