Volunteering Experience part 6 – Dora Androlić

Many great events are powered by volunteers, and FS Alpe Adria 2024 was no exception. With FSAA 2025 just around the corner, we’re excited to share another couple of volunteer stories with the public. This time, we’re handing the spotlight to a hardworking, enthusiastic, and always-positive team player who left a lasting mark on last year’s event. We’re very excited to have Dora back this year!!

“I found out about Alpe Adria from a friend that volunteered there. As he shared his experience with me, I kept thinking how much I would appreciate participating in such an event too. I love cars and Formula 1 and FSAA is a rare opportunity where I could actively engage in motorsports activities.

Now, I can proudly say, that those days spent at the Bugatti-Rimac test track in Mičevec were the highlight of my year! The event was crowded with teams, cars, organizers, spectators and us volunteers. There was always something going on. I started my volunteering tasks with navigating vans through the parking lot, but later ended up doing scrutineering tests on cars. I really found myself in the scrutineering tent, while there I learned the most about the cars and their way of operating. Thanks to the scrutineering crew for teaching me everything!

Wherever I went, I talked to people and by the end of the event I made many new friends. Everyone was friendly and it was fun to be surrounded by people with the same amount of passion towards cars! Hearing about their studies, career paths and other experiences opened up my eyes on how much I love this field! The atmosphere was sky high, the cars were rocket fast and the event was out of this world.

Being a volunteer at this event exceeded my expectations! I met so many cool people and, most of all, gained valuable knowledge. I loved every second of it and can’t wait to do it again!
